Lettings market: Record rental price growth

January brings faith in a strong rental year, as for the first time the whole Country has benefit from an increasing average rent of 0.1% on a monthly basis.
On the one year period basis, the rents have increased of 0.3% leading to a 4.3% increase in rental price. London is in head with an annual rise of 6.3%.
As mortgage lenders are still tempered to over mortgage deals, especially to households, this trend is not predicted to reverse in the near future.
Confirmation also come on the demand side, as the last quarter of 2011 showed a substantial rise in new tenants applications at 23.4%.
